August rides and events in Waltham Forest

Saturday 1 August
Ride London
Join us for the annual visualisation of car-free London! The dream is so popular it’s a constant bicycle traffic jam but hey, it’s still fun! Many families arrive in central London by train but we will be leading a gentle, well-marshalled ride from Walthamstow so do join us for an entirely fear-free ride there and / or back.
Meet by 10am in Walthamstow Town Square by the library / Big Screen. The return ride starts at 3pm from Bank.

E11 Ride: Redbridge parks not seen before!
Meet outside Carlton House in Aylmer Road, off Leytonstone High Street (E11 3AD) for 10am departure. Back by 2pm. If you have questions, call Dwight on 07973 131429.

Sunday 9 August
Walthamstow Family Bike Ride
A relaxed and enjoyable afternoon travelling by bicycle and exploring the nooks and crannies in and around our borough. Frisbees sometimes materialise when we hit a suitable open space.
We aim to stop off at a cafe at about half time, but we recommend you bring a snack and some water.
Meet at 1pm at the Orford Road/Church Lane junction, E17 9RW, next to the old postbox opposite the Ancient House … see the map.

Wednesday 19 August
The Evening Ride

The evenings are lighter now and our mid-week evening rides are back. Join us for a 6.30pm start outside Walthamstow Library for a couple of hours of riding, exploring Mini-Holland facilities.

Sunday 23 August
WFCycling Monthly ride
Ideas always abound, including options to account for weather. In case we use the train have your Oyster or contactless debit card with you!
Meet at 10.15 outside Walthamstow Library. We are usually back by 3-4pm.

Friday 28 August
Central London Critical Mass

If you’re in town why not join this classic monthly celebration of cycling. People gather at Waterloo between 6-7pm. Nic will be riding from Walthamstow at 6pm so you can join him there.
