JoyRides in July

JoyRiders have released their rides list for July. Unlike other rides we publicise you’ll need to register with them and book in as places are limited – however it’s easy to do:

  1. Complete the registration form: https://forms.gle/QG6RXcvjS52VMzeTA – you will get invited to their WhatsApp group
  2. Book your place on the ride – the link for each ride is published the Friday before a ride on WhatsApp, then on Saturday on Facebook

Ride list:

All these rides start from Leyton Jubilee Park with limited places – you must book in advance! The rides include a stop at a cafe and bikes can be provided unless noted otherwise.

Tuesday 2nd July, 9.15am – 11.30am – Victoria Park via Olympic Park and Regents Canal.Difficulty: Intermediate. Total distance (return): 10km

Tuesday 9th July, 9.15am – 11.30am – Westfield Stratford City. Difficulty: Beginners +. Total distance (return): 10km

Thursday 11th July, 9.15am – 1.45pm – Clarion JoyRide to Walthamstow Wetlands for Balm Making and Reed Mace Bracelet workshop. Difficulty: Beginners. Total distance (return): 9km. Funded by Clarion Futures, with a free Herbal Balm Making workshop provided by London Wildlife Trust. Open to local residents.

Tuesday 16th July, 9.15am – 2pm – City Ride to Spitalfields Market via Colombia Road. Difficulty: Intermediate+. Total distance (return): 17km. Only own bike spaces for these rides. Or hire a bike for free from the council in advance of the ride, by emailing cyclehire@walthamforest.gov.uk

Sunday 21st July, 1.15pm – 3.45pm – Mini feeder ride to Walthamstow Family Bike club newcomers ride (men women and children all welcome). Difficulty: Beginners. Total distance (return): 8km – see the link for more details. There’s no cafe stop on this ride.

Wednesday 31 July, 9.30am – 3pm – Clarion Family ride to Walthamstow Wetlands for two nature activities and lunch. Difficulty: Beginners +. Total distance (return): 9km. Funded by Clarion Futures, with free nature activity workshops provided by London Wildlife Trust. Open to local residents. NB Whole day event
