Motions for 2021 Annual Meeting

WFCC’s annual meeting is next month on the 23rd of March. The following motions have been recieved and will be discussed and voted upon.

(Note – these are the motions discussed at the March meeting).

Motion 1 – Set term limits

WFCC recognises the need to refresh the coordinator post on a regular basis so that new members can be brought on and responsibilities are shared. It therefore agrees that members can serve no more than two consecutive terms as coordinator.

Therefore we will add the following text to constitution item 17: “To encourage sharing of responsibilities a member can not serve more than two terms as coordinator consecutively. At the end of a coordinator’s second consecutive term they will not be eligible for nomination to that role (to avoid more than two consecutive terms), but will be eligible again after a term of absence.”

Motion 2 – Clarifications

As the constitution is to be amended it makes sense to correct a few ambiguities as noted on this tracked document.

Motion 3 – Which roles are exclusively for LCC members

Item 19 states that all members of the Management Committee must be LCC members, however in the past we have encouraged people to get involved whether or not they are LCC members. I suggest this is changed to Officers so it only includes the core people running the group.
